For the Spring/Summer 2025 Collection, One Off Ones pays tribute to the clandestine charm of London's subversive subcultures and architectural wonders, particularly the Barbican. Inspired by the Barbican's striking, rugged silhouette and its fusion of modernist ideals with Brutalist aesthetics, this collection blends structured silhouettes, intricate lace-up details, bold corsetry, and a mix of materials.
Drawing from the designer's love for London's architecture and subculture, each piece in this collection is a testament to the city's rebellious spirit. From the imposing structures of Brutalist landmarks to the hidden alcoves of underground clubs, every element serves as a muse for our designs. The monochromatic palette of black, white, and grey reflects the stark contrast of London's urban landscape, while splashes of red, purple, and denim pay homage to the city's vibrant energy and individuality.
In this collection, the interwoven pathways of the Barbican are translated into intricate lace-up elements, infusing each garment with a touch of architectural complexity. Inspired by the Barbican's structured design, corset elements are reimagined to accentuate the silhouette. Drawing from the Barbican's robust and stark forms, garments feature sharp lines and strong, angular shapes, reflecting the architectural precision of the Brutalist style. Contrasting the solid, concrete inspiration, sheer and transparent materials are integrated into the designs, adding layers of depth and visual intrigue, symbolizing the interplay of shadow within the Barbican.
